Security Deposit 

Maximum – Landlords can request from Tenants up to one (1) months’ rent and with certain Tenants whom have judgements against them Landlords can charge up to two (2) months rent.
Return – The Landlord must return all deposits to Tenants within 30 days of the lease end date including an itemized list of deductions

Paying Rent

Grace Period – no grace period in North Dakota.

Maximum Late Fee – The maximum late fee Landlords can charge Tenants should be outlined in the agreement.

NSF Fee – $40 per bounced check.

Landlord Entry
